So I have recently ordered a iPhone 12 pro max. I have had a confirmation email and today a text with a link to tracking. When I open the link to the tracking it tells me my order has been confirmed but at the bottom it reads your pre order is confirmed? I’m sure this phone has been released a week or so? Just wondering what is going on with it? And why it’s telling me I’ve pre ordered it?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Thank you, @Covnick.
I'll feed that wording back into our sales teams. It won't affect your order though.
The estimated delivery for your version is to expect delivery within 14 days.

Hi @Covnick
Welcome to the community.
Which version of the iPhone 12 Pro Max did you order and on what date?
It shouldn't have told you that you have pre-ordered.

I have ordered the 128GB pacific blue. I ordered it on Friday 20th so only two days ago, I’m not expecting it to be delivered already just confused about the pre order thing

I had the same problem, ordered the iPhone 12 pro max (512gb version) on the 26th via the website and like you I wasn’t expecting it to be delivered straight away, but when clicking on the link received via text saying my order was confirmed, this was after I had to ring up and pay the early upgrade fee, it just says awaiting confirmation and at the bottom I got the same banner about the pre order. Spoke to a few friends who work at ee and they said they are awaiting a delivery from Apple but when I had I look on the website it says it’s in stock( 02/12/2020) but haven’t received any further text updates from ee or DPD for an expected delivery date.
