iPhone 12 Pro delay?

asaprosco

Pre-ordered the iPhone 12 Pro 128gb graphite in store and it was very much made to sound like I'd be able to collect it today. Now I'm being told the store don't have the delivery and it'll be tomorrow at the earliest? If that's the case why wasn't I told at the time of pre-order? Now I'll need to change weekend plans to collect it, extremely disappointed.

Hi @asaprosco.

I'm sorry to hear this has happened.

The store will notify you as soon as it's ready to pick up.

Hi @Jon_K

With all due respect that doesn't explain or solve anything - noone's told me why it's been delayed or when it's likely to arrive, and if I'd known this ahead of time there is no way I would have ordered it. Extremely disappointed in the service.

Brilliant how @Jon_K  shows his face to respond to a simple an easy comment in this post, yet you then go back to hiding behind your desk on all the other comments concerning our missing IPhone deliveries???? 🤔

Your company should hang your head in shame for what is known in the legal profession as ‘DROPSHIPPING’ your customers @Jon_K  😡😡😡

The store wouldn't have known how many devices they would receive.

No one can tell you an exact date because if they did and then didn't receive enough to fullfil all orders you would complain about that.

iPhone launches are the same every year. Slot of demand which Apple can't keep up with. Yet people always seem surprised by the matter. But do they blame Apple? No they blame the networks. The networks order the stock they need but never receive the amount they ask for so what can they do?

@BrendonH  You clearly know a lot more about this stuff than I do, I accept everything you're saying there, but WHY did the EE staff member make it seem like launch day would be no problem then? I acted only on the advice I was given in store.

Quick update, cancelled my order after being informed it would arrive no earlier than 2/11. The next iPhone will nearly be out by then, what's the point in pre-ordering at all. Appallingly bad service, was lied to by more than one EE employee.

Incidentally, got a 12 Pro within minutes of ordering with another company.

Mine was delayed too, but since I have a life I’m not worried and understand that it’s in EE’s interest to get a phone to me as soon as they can.

This is such an immature, stampy foot thread. Grow up.

I was also lied to by an EE member of staff being told I would definitely have the phone on Friday 30th before I went away for work for 3 Weeks. Then to do find out the phone still hasn’t been dispatched to the EE branch in Birmingham, so I was mislead to make a quick sale!!! Extremely disapointed with the service and integrity of EE and their staff: additionally when I called into EE’s complaints service I was basically told to suck it up and stop complaining after telling them of my issue. I feel neglected by EE and doubt Im the only person feeling this way after their dishonor. I haven’t even got an estimated date of delivery no more and makes me question what was the point of sitting in the branch for an hour of my time sorting this pre order out... pathetic!

Hi and welcome to the community, @Lawrence55.

You shouldn't have been told that you would definitely receive it on a certain date and I'm sorry if you were.

You'll be contacted to let you know when your phone will be delivered. Thank you for your patience so far.
