I have had the free music streaming data addon for apple music for 2 years now with no issues but recently whenever I use apple music with my data it uses my data at a rapid rate (250MB for 4 hours of use) I'm not sure what has changed and I have checked my data usage on my phone and no other apps are showing as using more than a few KB. As my plan only comes with 1GB of data and I use apple music almost every day for several hours I have been running out of data very quickly and paying for top ups. I have tried using my phones data saver to prevent background use but it hasn't seemed to make any difference. Does anyone know what might be the cause. Thank you.
@Jacobdown123 The free music data streaming is only for 6 months after this you can purchase a add on for streaming. Or is this a smart benefit add on ? Your device will always show how much data is being used even with free streaming as the device doesn’t know you get free streaming it’s just login data used.

The add-on which i still pay monthly for allows me to stream music with Apple music without consuming my data and as I said I haven't had any issues with it for 2 years its only been recently that it's started using my data. And it's always shown as using data on my phone's usage but never on the my EE app but now it shows as using my data on the my EE app too.
