Just pre ordered a 512 Pro Max today (23rd)
anyone know exactly what kind of time frame I can expect? (perhaps judging from last year?)
most other models say 21 days! i hope its not that long

You'll be waiting a good month at least. Going by the Apple site directly if you ordered a 512GB Pro Max from them now your looking at 22 Oct - 29 Oct so it's going to be a while getting one from EE.
