When upgrading your phone on a contract .. does the new phone come with a new sim card 

 

As I just upgraded to a IPhone XR and wondered will it come with a sim card or do I need to get one

It usually does just in case your old SIM doesn't fit. If it does fit it is always simpler to continue using the old SIM.
