Upgraded today new phone coming Monday but original phone/sim not working. All contacts gone & apps not working

Hi @Keryl ,
If you've asked for a replacement SIM then your current one will be disabled. If you did not ask for a replacement SIM, it's possible a mistake has been made by the service provider.
Even without a functional SIM, or with the SIM removed altogether, your mobile should have all functionality which does not require a cellular connection.
In particular, contacts stored on the phone or accessible over the internet via WiFi should still show and apps that use the internet, but not specifically the cellular network, should still function.
