I am due a standard upgrade but my contract officially runs out in August.  Can I go to a third party provider as long as it is still with ee or do I have to wait till august

@Paulc9  You can upgrade through any party you wish.  You just can not change networks with an upgrade.

You may upgrade within the 45 day upgrade window before end of contract term only with EE, After the end of contract term you may upgrade with 3rd parties as well.
