Unlocking device for use abroad.

I have unlocked my phone in order to use a Dutch SIM card in the Netherlands as I have moved country and I will need to cancel my EE UK account. Please can I ask if my phone will stay unlocked for use in the Netherlands after my UK account is closed? Thank you
