I have just has a missed call from 0845 134 1241, when I called back it was a recorded message that just said "thank you for verifying your number"
I'm concerned that this is one of those fraud scams that then charges you hundreds of pounds on your phone bill as I am unable to get any information on this number.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Welcome to the community.
Did it say a company name or anything? Are there any extra charges on your My EE account?

There was another post on here a week or so back reporting the exact same scenario.
Bear in mind 084 & 087 numbers are quite expensive, and you pay both an "Access Charge" to your phone provider (in this case EE) as well as a "Service Charge" to the owner of the number.
Scammers calling people for one ring, thereby encouraging people to callback and incur call charges, is one of the more common tricks. Another one is to answer the return call with the audio of a ringtone, so you think you're waiting for someone to answer but actually paying expensive per-minute charges.
A Google search for "0845 1341241" has a very pertinent Daily Telegraph article as its first result.

Hi @bristolian
I thought the same when I searched, but, that search result drops off the last 7 digits of the number and only actually displays results for "0845".
I couldn't find anything specifically for the full number.

Hey @Christopher_G
You're absolutely right, but I think this is probably a case of the specific number almost being irrelevant!
I'll bet the scammer in question probably has a bank of numbers that they cycle through for these calls....
