Sim Card not recognised after software update

I have a Samsung S20 plus (Dual Sim).

Yesterday the phone updated to One UI3. Since then it has not recognised my sim card for either data or calls.

I have tried restarting the phone, resetting network settings, data off/on, airplane mode on/off. I have also put my sim into another phone where it worked, however when back in my phone it didn't work.

Amy ideas?

Hello @Cazp273.

Thanks for coming to the community.

Since yesterday has service resumed on your SIM?

Katie 🙂

No it hasnt.

I have switched my sim into my old phone for now and it is working in that, but nothing on the S20plus.

I have also tried switching other sims into the phone. A 3 sim works, but EE does not (tried someone elses EE sim too)

Thanks for confirming @Cazp273

Has your device originally been taken out on another network then unlocked?

Katie 🙂

Hi Katie.

Yes, the phone was originally on 3,but is now unlocked to all networks.

Have had it 2-3 months with no issues, it was only after the android system update that i had a problem

I purchased the phone seperatly to the EE sim (I was allready on an EE sim contrac)

Thanks for getting back to me @Cazp273.

Are you able to try another network SIM in the device to see if this works?

Katie 🙂

Hi Katie

I have tried a few different sims in the device now, results as follows:

EE and O2 - No signal, Sim not recognised

Vodafone and 3 - 4G instantly
