S21 - No Sim Card Detected when pressure applied

Tommyjw

So i've had phone/contract (S21 5G) roughly 4 months

Long story short i have started to get this error when all and any pressure is applied to the front/back of the phone near the sim card. First noticed when case was on, thought that was the issue, but tried 2 others and all did the same, then just from playing around realised i can cause the issue simply holding the phone in the corner.

So when my case is off, phone is down, all fine i get signal (not much as barely get any inside my house but it is there). If i put either of my cases on OR if i simply hold my fingers over the bottom left corner of the phone (front or back) where the sim card is for a few seconds , up pops the sim card tray error immediately, take it off, after a few seconds phone resets to seemingly recognising it fine.

I assume this may be some repear issue they need to look out but liek most ratehr not be without my phone while it is looked into so if anyone has any ideas..

Hi @Tommyjw

Welcome to the community, sorry to hear that you're having some problems with your phone.

I've seen that error message mentioned before, but not in the same circumstances. The fact this problem also happens without a case on leads me to think it could be a problem with the phone or SIM.

I'd definitely recommend speaking to our technical support team to see what they say about this.

Let us know what happens.
