I upgraded in October last year but I am having issues with overheating on my phone, is it still under warranty...can I do anything to get it fixed/swapped?

Are you using an iPhone?
If so, and it's within the first 12 months, it will still be within warranty with Apple.
Contacting Apple Support would be the best way to get this resolved.
