Old sim not working in new S7 phone. How do find out what VPN my phone needs.

 Got a new phone and put my sim in it. Cannot make calls but other people call me. Sim shows a different number to mine. Could this be a reprogram error by EE shop when I upgraded to nano sim? Cannot find a VPN either. Phone says it is not a VERIZON sim. Any help would be great.

@SteveC2104   The phone is an American s7 and it was on the Verizon network.   What are the first 5 digits of the incorrect number ?   It can take a few hours for you number to migrate to the new SIM card ( 3-5 hours)  but you’ll need to allow up to 24 hours. 

and when you say you can not find the APN ( not VPN ) is that on the device itself)  to access this you can

 

  1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Mobile networks.
  4. Tap Access Point Names.
