Hello, I have just done the iOS 14.5 update that was released today but now I am not getting any mobile data connection at all.

Any ideas?

@rickirajah  Have you tried restarting the device? Or perhaps a network reset ?

Hi @rickirajah.

Welcome to the community.

To complete a network reset, you would to to Settings, General, Reset, then Reset Network Settings.

Let us know if you manage to get this working.

I do know that during the beta testing process there were reports of intermittent network access problems, but these appear to have been fixed for most people.

I suggest trying a force restart (not just switching the device off) as a first attempt to resolve the problem: Assuming you're on a iPhone w Face ID this is what you do:

  • Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  • Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  • Then press and hold the side button.
  • When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

If this doesn't work then try to reset network settings -- but take a note of your important WiFi passwords first as you'll need to renter these and may need to repair some devices.

Hope this helps -- I reckon the problem will resolve in 14.6.
