New sim

Ordered a new pay monthly SIM as I am currently on pay as you go rolling contract. I wanted to keep my original number. And they asked me if I would like to do so while giving my details. I received the SIM card through the post and it has a different number on the SIM card?? How do I keep my number like I asked for?

@Stuw2461   You can not have two sims with the same number so the new sim will have a different number at first,  you’ll need to put the new sim in your device and your number  should take around 24 hours to migrate to that sim.    But you shouldn’t need a new sim as your current one should now be working as a contract SIM card.    What do you get if you text AL to 150 ?

Hi @Stuw2461

It may be that you've already instigated your move, but did you use EE's switch to pay monthly service?
