New phone: SIM not recognised

Hi,

My phone screen went black and I can't use my old phone so i bought another phone and the SIM card was recognised at first for an hour. The phone now doesn't recognise there is a SIM inserted. 

Please can someone help?

It's a Huawei P30 Pro.

sooooooo........I realised the sim holder is double sided and can take a sim on one side and a Huawei micro memory card on the other. 

I....errr...had the sim in the wrong side.

To be fair the writing is TINY.

 

Any way. All sorted now thanks.
