Hello @Queenie17 and welcome to the EE community!

Will your existing SIM fit in your new phone? If it does, and that SIM works, then use it.

There is no need to swap SIMs unless there's a problem with your existing one or it doesn't fit.

Hi

Yes my old sim works, But have have not got unlimited data as per my new contract. Still only showing 2.00GB as from my old contract?

It's your account that dictates the plan, not your SIM.

Others are more familiar with what exactly triggers the plan change, but I have a suspicion that using the new phone may be it.

The standard advice is always to use your existing SIM in your new phone - "if it ain't broke, why change it?" applies here.

Ok I understand this, and will do so. However what happens if my data allowance does not change?

How is it that you're checking for your data allowance?

If you text BALANCE to 150 using your new phone, what does it say? The text is free.

Hi

Checked that, all appears to be ok!

many thanks for your help
