@Kerry333 , If you did not have backup for your chat history, then once you delete and re-install what’s app, you will lose your chat history, best to make sure that under settings you have your chat history set to automatically back-up.

Yeah, I understand that, I just wondered if the community knew or had experienced the same issues seeing that it was global and probably everyone was going mad on Monday. I've already contacted WhatsApp.
@Kerry333 , I neither removed my what’s app, nor did I need to re-install it and all my history is there, but if you did not back history up, then when uninstalling and re-installing and chat has never been backed-up, then the history of your chats will be lost. There was no need to remove and re-install what’s app, not sure why you thought you needed to, but if you want more answers, you will have to contact what’s app to get any other answers.
