Welcome to EE's Home Broadband Forum.

Have you just joined EE BB or were you already with EE BB?

What does it say after you log into the router:

  • For a BrightBox: in the Internet section on the initial Status page or
  • For a Smart Hub: on the Advanced Settings / Broadband / Internet page?

Obscure your names & any numbers in the BB Username but post the 1st 2 parts of the IP addy. This will tell us at which stage EE have got to.

Is this for ADSL BB or Fibre? Which router, BrightBox 1 or 2 or Smart Hub?

Does the landline phone work? Do you get a dial tone? Does it announce your correct no. when you dial 1470 17070?

I have already been with EE first at another property for 2 years and then at this property for 8 months. It was working last night then all of sudden... connecting forever. The wife doesnt show up as its perpetually connecting. I've tried all the cookie cutter basic steps. Nothings worked

@Advent37 , Have you spoken to EE to see if there is a fault somewhere, as this can happen. Have you tested the internet in the main BT socket to see if there is a fault? If the main BT socket is one of the newer ones, where you can take the bottom cover off, plug the router into the test socket, this will give you an idea whether there is a fault and then EE will be able to contact Open Reach to sort this out, EE should also be able to see if there is a fault on the line.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

If it is a neighbourhood issue, you could consult BT Service Status to see if any faults are being attended to in your local area.
