I appear to have a 10GB data allowance each month. But here we are on the 23rd of September 2021 and I have still got 9.2GB of Data left to use !
What functions on my mobile phone actually access this data allowance ?

Searching the internet.
Many apps use Data
Basically everything uses data but you'll be surprised mundane stuff doesn't use that much data.
Downloading depends on the file size. Streaming music/tv shows etc will use quite a bit. Depends on the game depends how much it uses.
It looks like you have more data than you need. But you'll now be unable to downgrade your plan to suit your needs and pay less for it.

Hi @Benno157
Any of the functions that use the internet, will either use your data allowance or WiFi when you're connected.
Your phone will have a data counter within the connection settings menu that enables you to see app-by-app what your data has been used on - broken down between mobile-data & WiFi.

Thanks Bristolian - I have had mobile phones for years and I have never looked in that Connection Settings screen. I understand now. Have a good day. Regards Andy B in York.

When does your billing month start & your allowances refresh? It won't necessarily start on the 1st of a month. Likely it started a few days before the 23rd & so you have most of it still left.
