Hi, I cannot remember my passcode for my phone. I cannot get onto my phone unfortunately. Do you have any advice. I would enter a EE store to ask that this be fixed. But currently they are all closed due to COVID.
I have tried using the method of powering off my phone and rebooting using the power on and volume down key. However, this does not work as it still requires my passcode.
Furthermore, I have tried using the erase me phone feature from my google account. I am able to log into this and click “erase my phone”. However, nothing happens and it still requires a passcode to unlock.
I urgently need my phone for work but am unable to do anything as it just asks for a passcode to be entered after restarting the phone.
Does anyone have any solution to this please.
Thank you so much for you time.

@Cammicsmi21 You can not bypass a device lock by what you are trying to do. You’ll have to factory reset the device and if it’s not been backed up you’ll loose everything on it.

Hi,
Thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately I did not backup much on my phone, other than a few files on my google drive.
I am happy to factory reset the phone and start again as I desperately need it for work this week.
Does anyone know how I can factory reset it? As the methods I have tried all ask for the passcode still.
I’m unsure if any online software could be used to reset it?
I would take it to my local EE store but it is still closed due to COVID.
Thanks again,

Hi @Cammicsmi21.
I'd recommend getting in touch with the manufacturer about this.
They may be able to help you further.
