Error Invalid IP Setting: These IP settings are not valid on the EE ($HNT Miner)

leonmcle
Explorer

Hello,

I am trying to create a static IP address. I have selected "Always use this IP" in the device settings, and have changed the IP Address. I have changed this to the address mentioned on my Helium Miner (sensecap) in the settings.

However when i try to save, the following error appears: "Invalid IP Setting - These IP settings are not valid on the EE Smart Hub."

Any idea how i can work around this?

Thanks in advance,

Leon

Well, 10.0.0.22 doesn't fit into that range. That's why! You have to choose an IP within the range to fix it at. Presumably the Helium Miner was only giving an example.

Could i resolve this by changing the actual range? e.g.  10.0.0.22 to 192.168.1.253 ?

Not with that range. It's not a valid consecutive range. 10.0.0.64- 10.0.0.253 might work but it's more trouble than it's worth. You'll have to re-connect all your existing devices & more could go wrong. Why not just fix this device as 192.168.1.22?
