Can I use my 4G WiFi mini to stream apple TV?

Looking to stream Netflix etc through apple TV using my 4G WiFi mini, it seems to be continually buffering with certain

apps. But it works with my phone on hotspot? 🤔

Hi @l29.

Welcome to the community.

Do any other apps work for streaming on this device?

Do you have anything else connected to your WiFi mini device at the time?

Hi @l29 ,

Netflix recommends a measured bandwidth of 25 Mbps to stream their contents.

You may use a browser to visit fast.com and speedtest.net to measure the bandwidth your 4G WiFi mini provides at the time when you notice buffering taking place.

When you use a hotspot on your phone, is it with the same SIM as used in the 4G WiFi mini or a different SIM? A modern phone might well get better bandwidth than a 4G WiFi mini with the same SIM.

Have you set the Apple TV playback quality to Auto? https://www.howtogeek.com/267599/how-to-reduce-the-amount-of-data-your-apple-tv-consumes/
