So I pay for a family member plan for the Apple Watch SE 44m which is £22 for 24 months as well as paying £30 upfront meaning at the end of the 24months I will have paid £558 for the device . But the watch is not cellular so cannot be used without the iPhone but on the website it states they would not need a phone for a standalone watch. So my question is, why am I paying for a standalone Apple Watch with 24month plan if there is no cellular use on the watch itself?

Hi @Caitlandaviess,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
Did you purchase the Watch direct with EE? We only stock cellular models.
If you want to pair the watch with an iPhone, you need to use a personal paired plan, rather than a family member plan and the iPhone needs to be on the same account.
Thanks
James

Hi James 🙂
so yes I purchased the watch with EE.
A personal paired plan would be tailored to my contract , would it not? The watch states there’s no mobile data as there’s no sim and no connection. But if all the watches are cellular and his iPhone is paired with the watch why can he not use his data. I’m guessing with the price I’m paying there is a plan that’s being paid for but without his phone he cannot use any cellular data.
thanks.

@Caitlandaviess Has the plan been setup via the watch app on the iPhone it’s paired too ? You do this when setting up the watch with the iPhone unless it was skipped passed.

I don’t think it was set up but I’m not sure it was skipped when setting it up. When I go in to the watch app on iPhone to the mobile data section, it says the plan has expired and I need to contact 150?

Hi @Caitlandaviess.
I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team about this.
They will be able to check your account and make sure it is all set up correctly.
You'll then need to un-pair the watch, and set it up again.
