Apple Watch LTE and Samsung Watch LTE on one number?

Ok I know this sounds nuts but I’m a bit of a tech enthusiast. I have an iPhone 11 Pro, a Samsung S20+, and an Apple Watch 4 LTE. I mostly use the iPhone TBH and switch my SIM into the Samsung when feel like something different. My Apple Watch 4 LTE is linked to my number and I like the flexibility of using it without the phone on LTE when needed, but when I’m on the Samsung obviously Apple Watch doesn’t work and I miss a smart watch.

I’m considering buying one of the new announced Samsung Watch 3 LTE for use when I’m using the Samsung phone and also for the iPhone if I feel like it. I should state all this hardware is bought from outside EE - i.e. direct from Apple or Samsung.

So my question is - is it possible to have BOTH watches with an active 4G service at the same time AND have it linked to my ‘main’ phone number so I can swap watches / SIMs about as I want? What’s the cost to do this and if I could add the Samsung Watch is that a 30 day rolling deal or a longer term thing?

Hi @Flani-Mal.

If you were to be using the iPhone, the Samsung Watch wouldn't work, just like the Apple Watch currently doesn't if you're using the Samsung phone.

I'd recommend contacting our Tech Gurus about this as they're our watch experts.

They'll be able to let you know if this is physically possible to do on your account 🙂

Hi Jon

Thanks for the reply. I know I cant use the Apple Watch with the Samsung, but I can use the Samsung Watch with the iPhone (albeit with restricted functions) if I install the Samsung wear app on my iPhone.

I’ll get in touch with the Tech Gurus as you’ve suggested.

Thanks again!
