DD forms want your bank a/c's Account No. which is 8 digits. So is EE's bank a/c's Account No. as is all UK bank a/c's. Maybe you are thinking of your Plan's Account No. which is 9 digits but that only needs to be quoted as a Reference which I'm pretty sure a DD form won't be asking for.
