iPhone 18 pro max order

I cautiously ordered the new iPhone pro max on order day from ee as I decided to give them another go after I almost cancelled my contract earlier this year. I was told I’d get it today and surprise surprise I now have to wait up to 28 days for my new device. It’s so frustrating especially when I ordered on pre order day and was told I’d receive it on the 18th. What’s the point in ee saying this when they know full well they can never fulfill the orders? I’ve been with ee now for over 9 years it just shows that they have no loyalty to their returning customers yet again.

@Chris2297  No pre order is a guarantee of  getting it on launch day never has and never will be and you shouldn’t been told otherwise.    No network will ever have enough for all pre orders as Apple can’t just supply one network and can’t provide enough for launch day for all networks worldwide on launch day.   ( they don’t have enough stock for themselves on launch day pre orders) 
I’ve only ever had one iPhone on launch day ( iPhone X ).  It’s also down to what specific model you ordered and how popular that model is as the most popular means a longer waiting time.

i think if you really badly want the iphone on launch day never order from carriers. always order from apple directly.
