Guys, I’m excited about the new phone too…
But calling 150 or going on LiveChat 6 times a day will not make your phone deliveries any faster. If you are able to track it, it’s 99% likely to come when they have the stock.
Yes, live chat CS are incompetent, but that’s not a new development. This has been happening ever year since the X released AT LEAST - I believe it happened with the 7+ too.
And it will happen next year. It’s not going to kill you to wait a few days/weeks. The more times you visit Live Chat, the more frustrated you will become, and it doesn’t change when your phone will arrive. Be mindful of a few things:
1. it’s not customer services fault. They are low-paid workers that have no control of the situation. They’re certainly not paid enough for people to be rude to, which many have been.
2. other people may be trying to contact EE for real, legit issues. Waiting a little longer for a phone is not one of those.
3. CS are probably absolutely rushed off their feet with calls every minute asking “where’s my phone?” - I’ve worked CS, it’s a stressful and largely thankless jobs. Please stop making their lives harder.
4. NO store in UK has stock. They have in-store demos, go and take a few selfies on that to get your fix. There is no point going to a store on the off-chance they’ll have a random few lying around. Preorders are prioritised over drop-ins, and if the preorders aren’t in your hand yet then the store definitely won’t have any.
