I got my order number 00494***** straight after when I placed the order through the chat, but still don’t know if I get my new iPhone on launch day or after 2-3 weeks 😅

Same for me doesn’t allow me to upgrade so guessing that’s fully gone through however, where are you seeing the part where it says preparing your mobile order? In which section of the app does it say this I can’t find that

So the contract for your 17 Pro Max and the upgrade will only begin once the phone is delivered. That will officially be your contract start date. I’ve been told this every year by advisors on the phone when I upgrade, and when I check the EE app the day my phone is delivered matches the contract start date.
As for delivery date, nobody knows unfortunately. The sales advisors do not themselves know and the stock status online the EE site is rarely ever accurate. Even if it says “in stock” or if it said “delivery on launch day” when you initially placed the preorder, you are not 100% guaranteed to receive the phone on launch day as stock fluctuates and gets depleted really fast meaning the majority of orders will be on back order until additional stock comes in.
There’s no point contacting EE as they’ll give you the same stock responses if you ask when you’re going to get the phone:
- “you’re on track to get it on launch day”
- “I can’t see the stock unfortunately”
-“I’ve just checked with our warehouse and you are set to get it on launch day”
-“We never promise it’s going to be delivered on launch day”
-etc, etc, etc. You get the picture.
The best thing you can do is download the DPD app and sign in then wait for the notification from DPD saying that your phone is going to be delivered and it will specify the date it’ll be delivered as well as your delivery time slot.
As someone who has preordered the iPhone 11 Pro Max, 12 Pro Max, 13PM, 14PM, 15PM, 16PM and now the 17PM on preorder launch day every year with EE, I can confidently say once you’ve placed an order the ONLY reliable notification after that point is from DPD.

Unfortunately you will fall on deaf ears.
Download the DPD app and just wait. EE Themselves will NOT know when your phone is coming. They’ll just make it up to get you off the phone.

Hi all. I’ve ordered the Series 11 Apple Watch in jet black. I received my order confirmation email last Saturday. Today, I was given my order number by a live chat agent while asking for an update on the order. The order number I have been given by the agent is a 02 number. However, in the confirmation email, it’s got a different order number which starts with 00. Anyone know why this might be? I can get tracking details with the 00 number but the 02 number isn’t working.
Fingers crossed the tracking for it updates shortly. I have been told different information by CS about when I’m due to have it. Some have said Friday, others have said it’s getting dispatched on Friday and I’ll receive it 2-3 days later…

I'm quite upset with EE. Thankfully reading through this thread made me message them myself. Ordered a 17 PM 512gb in Deep Blue on Saturday Night/Sunday Morning (was early am) and I had the xko number come through, tracking showed order confirmed and dispatched (odd). I didn't think much of it, in reality I should've as that is exactly what <Other Provider> does when the order is cancelled (I tried to order two but I think they have a limit). Reading here about xko numbers I contacted support today, who had to manually send me the cancellation email and do my order all over again, so for me up to 21 days before I get a device in hand. Yay thanks a bunch EE. This is the line I ordered for my partner, I bought mine from <Other Provider> successfully, I ordered on Saturday late evening so I missed the first batch 17 PM 512gb in Cosmic Orange, but that hopefully should be with me by next Friday. You live and you learn ay, my EE tracking number starting with 02655 doesn't do anything on the tracking though, even with email or phone number and also doesn't show up in my manage/orders. They said it takes 24-48 hours so we'll see I guess. Congratulations to everyone getting their device on launch day, hope you enjoy them!

Yes. This! EE and other providers get an allocation from Apple (EE probably has one of the largest) then EE piece them out first come first served (according to support). They don't physically have the pre-order devices on hand (apart from maybe a few that come to the store for demo and maybe internal) they most likely have a portal with apple where they can input customer details and it gets shipped out via DPD but from Apple essentially. I think, don't quote me, but this is what I learned when I pre-ordered the 15 PM a few years back.
