I believe previous years the online orders weren’t given the XKO numbers and their order confirmation emails came through 2/3 days later with very high XKO numbers, hence the delays.

No problems so far ordering it, no upgrade fee or phone upfront fee.

When dealing with a separate issue a few weeks ago, the EE operator I spoke to said that he'd give me a call on the day of the pre-order to go through the upgrade process.  Didn't happen.  Tried to place the order through the web site, and after a few false starts I thought I'd got the order through.. but, alas, they pre-authorised my card for £130 and then threw up an error message stating that due to technical problems they couldn't process the order and to call 150.

45 minutes later, I'm still on hold.  But at least it's giving me a chance to test the hold call feature of the upcoming iOS 26...

Amazing views last year. Thank you for again creating another one for this year. Process seemed a lot more smooth this year for ordering over the phone! Also, will there be another spreadsheet tracker this year? I know it was a lot of work but it became our bible last year for keeping tabs on expected deliveries. Was very useful.

17 Pro Max 256GB Deep Blue full works £110, £77 with F&F.

Process smoother than usual, but an update that will affect the savvy folk that keep their upgrade anytime phones and resell them - the cost of ‘no handset to trade in’ has gone up significantly, I usually pay £450 and have been quoted £630 this year (still come out on top but not as healthy a margin as previous years).
