Hello again, everyone!
It's Techtember, and we all know that means new iPhones!
We have an exciting lineup this year! Newly redesigned Pro Models and the all-new iPhone Air!
Just like last year, let's use this thread purely for Tracking Preorders and any relevant discussion around them.
Applicable Devices:
You can find @King-Boss's general discussion thread here: https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Apple-Devices/iPhone-17-Pro-and-Pro-max-Pre-order-Thread-that-time-of-...
Hopefully, @Schoeyy can provide us with a tracking sheet once again this year! Once/if he does, I'll be sure to pin it!
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Well got a DPD text and it’s in the app that my phone is on the way to my local depot, so looks like I am getting it tomorrow!

What time did you get it at?

I’d be love to know who is responsible for this tracker as it says mine is dispatched and I’ve clearly not had one bit of communication from anyone to say it’s delayed after being told I’d get mine today also waiting on someone calling me back today regarding the complaint I put in total shambles just compiling an email to watchdog now and the ombudsman
EE USE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES

I pre-ordered an iPhone 17 Pro Max on September 12th at 1:00 PM and was informed that the delivery would occur on September 19th. However, I have not received any updates regarding the delivery status. Upon contacting EE today, I was advised that there is now a 28-day wait for delivery.
I understand that orders placed after September 12th may be subject to a 28-day wait due to high demand. However, as I placed my pre-order on the first day at 1:00 PM, I am confused about why my order is subject to this delay. Could you please clarify the reason for this extended wait and provide an updated delivery timeline for my order?

I pre ordered the deep blue 256gb IPhone 17 pro max on the 12th September and it had a expected delivery date of today but now it says
DPD: Sorry, your order is delayed. We'll email you once it's dispatched.
anyone know a time frame of when my device is coming

I ordered mine the same day but don’t even have a expected delivery date

Count ur self lucky that its even with DPD mate, ordered my on the 12th at 1pm for the same phone, not even been dispatched at all for me so goodness knows when it arrive. If DPD are saying its delayed my guess would be tomorrow or monday as its with them.

So, quelle surprise, for the 18th consecutive year, the latest iPhone is facing delays getting into the hands of its users. The trouble with today's consumer culture is that we all want something too easily and too quickly, mainly yesterday!
Modern phone manufacturing is genuinely complex, especially for new features or designs. Supply chains, chip availability, etc. can create real bottlenecks. Apple also has massive scale so even small percentage delays affect millions of units.
Apple is also not only one of the best smartphone OEMs in the world, they are also one of the very best companies at generating news and headlines, mostly about themselves, so they can keep their share price up and investors happy. News of delays = news of demand = happy investors.
So, please people, it's a phone. So, you might have to wait a few days or weeks for it, but is it really the end of world? My guess is that most of you probably have iOS 26 already installed on your old iPhone, so are you really missing much? If you have a 15 or 16, are the incremental improvements between those generations and this, which are becoming more modest over time, really that amazing that you simply can't be without the 17 for another while longer?
There's something really odd about how we've normalised this cycle of anticipation, frustration, and eventual satisfaction.
