iPhone 16 & 16 Pro Preorder Tracking Thread

Hello Again.
After last years MONUMENTAL thread became the second most popular thread on the entire website, (Over 400k views & 6k replies) I thought I'd make another for this years iPhone release. 

Just like last year let's use this thread purely for Tracking Preorders and any related discussion around it.

Last year was a mess for EE, Let's hope things are different this year.

Ordered mine Friday around 1.30pm. 

XKO number and 00 order number sent, not showing in tracking, rang CS and they said it should be dispatched on 20th and ready to collect 21st, hopefully it comes through on 20th. 

Ordered Black PM 256GB.

Ordered online/via the app on Friday but only have an XKO number which is seemingly showing nothing? I called three times to try and get a 004 number but all the CS agents were like, the upgrade has been processed, you'll know when DPD has it. So no clue.

Anyone hearing anything different?

Ordered mine Sept 13 online as soon as pre-orders were up and running on the EE website and received a confirmation email at 13:55 only showing an XKO order number. Tried tracking online but when I did, only an error message showed up. Called EE yesterday Sept 15 and was told there was no order from my account found on their end. Was able to place an order over the phone yesterday and dispatch would already be 28 days 😞 my order number now is a 004

At least you were able to place the order. I think that 004 number is the best one to have...

This is exactly what happened to lots of us last year. We re-ordered but there were delays and we ended up getting handsets in October. Fortunately for many of us they waived the early anytime upgrade cost. 

Hopefully this year the delays aren’t as long because of the apparent drop in expected orders.

When I preordered my 15 PM last year, I only ever got an XKO order number and it had gone through successfully (and arrived on launch day) but, I recently ordered a new watch online and got an XKO order number, and that order never actually went through.

When I preordered my 16 PM on Friday over the phone, I got an 004 number instead of XKO, which is trackable.

I don't think XKO order numbers are always indicative of their being a problem, but in recent instances, they have been (for me at least).

Mine's £385 having got an email from the EE Trade-In email address (which, sadly fails to pass SPF, DMARC or DKIM DNS records for sending domain, thus most email providers will flag this as being 'dodgy' - it's really basic stuff, and EE and its partners should know this). 

If I do keep the phone, I'm knocking £120 off as consultancy to tell them how to set-up their bulk email service 😉

This is actually SO helpful - thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed that the XKO is good because I can't be bothered to keep trying to call EE!

Here is the problem with having general anxiety disorder. Haven’t been told by three different people that my order was fine. It was sitting there ready to be dispatched. I still couldn’t get over the fact that the website was telling me my order had already been dispatched. So I rang again today sat on hold for nearly an hour spoke to a really nice lady Who confirmed not all orders will have a 003 or 004 number they will only get those numbers if the order has had to be manually pushed through i.e. any time upgrade if it’s a straight upgrade with nothing else then the XKO number is fine trackable and your orders are placed. She was even kind enough to send me a screenshot of the system showing my order in the basket, ready for dispatch 

 

so now I’m my mind is it ease
