Hello Again.
After last years MONUMENTAL thread became the second most popular thread on the entire website, (Over 400k views & 6k replies) I thought I'd make another for this years iPhone release. 

Just like last year let's use this thread purely for Tracking Preorders and any related discussion around it.

Last year was a mess for EE, Let's hope things are different this year.

Well what can I say. I have been waiting to upgrade since IPhone 11 Pro Max and decided it’s about time as my current phone it’s literally on its last legs. 
So I decided to go for the iPhone 16 Pro max 1tb and just like others jumped on the pre order band wagon on the 13th September and placed the order on EE APP. I then received an email confirming my order and that I will receive my device on Lunch date.  
as I didn’t get any notification I called EE FOR AN UPDATE ON THE 19th Sep to  which the advisor said don’t worry you will have the phone tomorrow. 
Here the messed up part. This morning I didn’t get any notification or time slot for the delivery.  Once again I called EE at which point I was told my order never went through and that I will not be receiving any iPhone today. I explained to the advisor I have a confirmation email sent to me from EE to which he replied that goes out to everyone. I was shocked that company as big as EE could do such a thing and now I have no phone and if I was to upgrade today I will have to wait until November to receive a phone what lot of crap. I am a very disappointed EE CUSTOMER who now looking of switching  

I don't think it's fair to say customers are too impatient. We were told Friday and it's not coming - no communication from EE... that's all it would have took. No point in taking pre-orders if there's no stock to allocate. 

I used to work in EE retail and we never got sent more than 2-3 iPhones of varying models around launch - but pre-orders took priority. The website today shows if I order now, I can expect it to be dispatched tomorrow. So either they are lying to get the sale or they are prioritising new sales over the pre-orders. 

I just want my order before my holiday next week. I could have walked into Apple and picked one up had I known there'd be a risk of EE not coming through with the goods. 

I spoke to EE TODAY and they said to me after 3 hours on the pre order day they ran out of stock of all iPhone pro max And any orders placed  after that will have to wait up to 28days. Hope that helps. 

I was told the same, guaranteed delivery on the 20th. I spent 10 hours yesterday on a live chat as i hadn't had any updates since ordering. Never got through to anyone (even though they said a 2 hour wait). Had the chance to call today and was told that it could be another 3 weeks and to allow 4 weeks from the date of order!

Just find it crazy they clearly got through all the pre orders of the pro enough to be able to offer someone a delivery tomorrow, but say it'll be over 28 days if you was to order a pro max now.

 

I ordered mine on the 13th so hope  i wont be long, just hope the stock supple isn't delayed

I was told by EE today that it shows as being ready for delivery today, when I questioned why I’ve not had any DPD delivery alerts, agent said there must be an error as to why they aren’t coming through, I feel like it was a way to try and get me out of the conversation, giving false hope. The comment above is more informative than EE are trying to lie to get out of the question. Disappointed in EE for that. Would rather just be told truth that I have to wait for stock

So I ordered on the release day at 1pm and 2 days later I was told to contact ee about the order. So I ring them and they had to confirm and adjust something. Reordered for me as had to cancel old order. Now sat here waiting wondering when I’m going to get it! Bit unfair been shoved to the day 3 release queue by the looks of it even though I ordered straight away urgh so frustrating and can’t even track order 

@Aphideous91 , this is not customer service, so you will have to speak to them, we just offer advice and help where we can.

You are lucky to get it so quick, I can remember when previously ordered, it would depend how many Apple send to networks and as that is a pre-order, then it will also depend how many they get. Pre-orders still take priority, you should get it soon, before you go on holiday.

Not what you want to hear but thank you for the information, at least I know it’s that so thank you, EE Agent I spoke to gave false hope to get out of conversation.

Ordered on the 13th 1TB Desert Titanium Pro Max, was told I’d get it today. Order confirmation received on that date, but zero movement on the order tracker, and nothing yet from DPD. Not looking good this year yet again.
