Hey Guys,

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

I ordered on 18th September so on Monday I contacted them and said I'd been waiting 28 days and still not had my phone (Pro Max 256gb Nat Titanium) which is when they turned around and said it's actually 28 working days which isn't until the 26th October 🫠

I ordered on 15th not confirmed until 19th so in a very similar situation. Not sure it is 28 working days but hey ho- so did they guarantee that they could get the phone to you before the 26th October?
I'm about to phone to see if I can chase up my phone - also 15PM 256GB NT.

That sounds like they were just telling you that to get you off the phone. 5 weeks and 3 days (28 working days) is a very weird amount of time to specify. Apple's manufacturers, Apple, EE and DPD are all running 7 days a week so surely 28 working days for them is 28 normal days...

Nope I'm not convinced of that either. I think I just got told that because it had surpassed the 28 day time frame I was given when I ordered and they're trying to avoid paying compensation now. I was also told something different on live chat in that the 28-day time frame starts from launch day, not the day you pre-ordered. Which again sounds like a load of rubbish because then there's no point in even pre-ordering 😂

But they pointed me to this in my order confirmation email 👇, so maybe some truth to it.

Terms and conditions

Whenever you pre-order (i.e. order a device before it is launched), or order a device that is currently out of stock, we will aim to send it to you within 30 days either of the launch date (pre-orders) or of your order (out of stock devices).

Yeah I think they are just trying to twist the wording and cover their backs (to avoid paying compensation) because it's now surpassed the 28-day timeframe. I've not seen anyone on here be told anything like that so I don't really believe it for one second.

Let’s both keep our fingers crossed that we are allocated a phone with this new shipment that has arrived or is about to arrive at EE 🤞🤞
