Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Finally canceled my contract and got my phone delivered from Giffgaff today order made Yesterday they still have some in stock just keep refreshing they have all storage sizes and colours through the day just keep an eye on it

Is there any firm evidence that DPD texts only go out on certain days (for next day delivery), or is the reality that they can deliver any day of the week?

I ordered a 256 BT PM around 10am on the 26th. Wont help with the colour but I'm on the spreadsheet so that will give you an idea.
Someone posted last night who had ordered the day after me and there was approximately 42,000 of a difference in mine and theirs numbers. Obviously all those orders wont be iPhones and will include PAYG topups etc but it looks like the order numbers are going up 50k a day.

That's still crazy, I might tell my partner to keep an eye on GiffGaff as they seem to get them in quite often throughout the day on Next Day Delivery 😖

Just spoke to them on chat and regardless of my order date... it was 21st they said the wait is over 28 days... I might just get it elsewhere as seems nobody knows anything and all say very different things.

@MysteryStranger i’ve done just this. Cancelled my upgrade. Ordered from giffgaff with delivery tomorrow. C changed to sim only with ee.

I ordered my 15 PM NT 256gb around 10am on the 16/9 even though I was on the phone for 1pm on the 15th as the system was down for anytime upgrades.
got told when I ordered over 28 days
live chat have just told me 28 days from today and finally given me my order number (starting 02) which I can’t track.
other than the “order is on track” text on 21/9, I’ve had absolutely nothing from EE. No order confirmation, info about returning my old phone. Nothing.
so confusing and frustrating how different it is for everyone.

I believe live chat were wrong for telling you from today, it’s the date you ordered which is when the 28 days start! At least that’s what I’ve been continuously told!
