Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Also waiting on a PM black 256gb, ordered 15th at 1:40! Ordered a pro at the same time and had that on release. I find it outrageous that EE management can’t talk to apple and get some kind of idea when phones will be coming in and alert the preorder customers a REAL timeframe instead of this first come first serve bs! I’ve had no response to my complaint, it’s just been radio silence apart from a text Saturday morning telling me my order is on track…….

Hi Guys
I worked with BT, and the way the pre orders work is APPLE will dispatch stock to the network with the highest pre orders 1st. Then back fill the pre orders with the remaining networks this is why the wait can be up to 28 days ! Apple create the demand then the networks suffer ! With customers who are then left frustrated!
I’m waiting on the blue pro max which I was told 14 days for ! Honestly I expect to wait 21 plus based on what I’ve heard and again this is down to APPLE not the networks.
hope this helps people understand the process and please remember the guys on the phone are just as frustrated as you at not having the answers you want !

I am 003308, 15 Pro Max 256gb - still no update. Ordered 1301 on release day over the phone.

Customer service trying to tell me orders place on launch have been been dispatched lol changing the date! You can’t make it up.

Apple always throttles stock to retailers in the first couple of weeks to benefit their stores. But yes, ultimately as far as stock is concerned that Apple being Apple. I think the big problem EE have created for themselves is blatantly lying to customers to secure a pre-order! If you don’t have stock, or you genuinely don’t know when a customer going to get their order - just say! Setting unrealistic expectations to customers knowing your lying is just bad and creates this high level of frustration!

I attempted to pre-order on launch day around 6PM for a 12 month refresh upgrade and got told systems were down and I would need to be called back on Monday.
Monday call back happens around the same time, my order is manually processed as systems were still down (?!) but I had my order confirmation with the 03 number.
Called yesterday to chase the status and got told the lead time is over 28 days… so technically speaking I know that I won’t get it in the next 4 weeks but maybe I’ll get it after that? God knows what’s happening with the trade in, not had any comms about that at all.
