Just upgraded to iPhone 14 pro max from iPhone 11

Can’t make or receive calls/text 

WhatsApp messages ok 

when I am going through the set up says old sim not compatible. Logged into My EE to activate a new eSIM but as I can’t receive the text code I’m stuck in a loop. Any help would be appreciated.

@JustMeJulie   wax you using the eSim on the old device or an actual SIM card ? 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
