Upgrading iPad

I’m wanting to upgrade my iPad mini for an ipad 2021 10.9 inch, when I go to confirm the order it’s wanting to send me a code to the ipad but I’m not receiving the code as the ipad is connected with an email and not a number, how do I go about getting the code on the ipad or receiving the code through my mobile phone instead?

Connected to what with an email?

Doesn't it have a SIM? That SIM will have a mobile no. & the code will be being sent to that no.
