Trade in

I ordered an iPhone 17 Pro Max and have traded in my old device. I have received 3 trade in packs.

I feel like the pack is not sufficient to protect the phone from potential damage, and has a tiny bubble pack and white plastic outer pack. The problem with that pack is that you can see what is in it if I send the phone in it's box, and I would be worried about it being stolen in transit.

The pack says there is a leaflet enclosed, advising how best to package the phone, but this leaflet is not present any of the three trade in packs.

It also suggests that I should pay extra for insured shipping, which I am not happy about me having to pay extra, and I feel that the postage provided should be enough to cover whatever is being sent. Seems a bit of a duplicitous way of potentially costing people money for lost devices. But if I were to pay for additional postage then th epos tag enable would probably cover up the label with the barcode, identifying is as my device sent in...

Also, all three trade in packs have different barcodes on, which one are they going to be expecting and will I suffer because two of them don't get returned?

Is it possible for me to take the phone into a store to complete the trade in?

Hi @STEJENT,

Welcome to the Community!

We want to make sending your phone back to us as straightforward as possible, so I am sorry for any confusion. If you would prefer to send your phone back in other packaging then you are absolutely free to do so, if this will set your mind at ease.

I would recommend reaching out to our team about the different returns packs you have received, just to ensure you aren't charged for not havig sent your phone back, when we have received this.
