SIM card activation

I’ve just upgraded my Apple phone and have been sent a new SIM card which I want to activate.

 

it tells me that I need my old SIM card with my old phone.

 

i have traded in the old phone so how can I activate my new SIM card?

Welcome to the community,

 

If your olde SIM card is still working, just put that one in, as you do not need to activate the new one, your SIM card you used in your old phone will work, you only need to activate the new one if you have a problem with your old SIM card, as the old ones still work, whether 4G or 5G.
