PAC code + iphone 15 pro max

Hi,

I’m switching from o2 to EE and have cancelled my contract as when I went in store to order it was within a couple of weeks expected delivery, I’ve now seen this has been pushed to potentially november, I have no problem with waiting but my concern is when my 02 30 day notice period ends 23/10/2023, if I haven’t got my new phone from EE will my number be gone forever? As once the 23rd hits I won’t be on 02 anymore, can I pre-activate my sim or something?

I’ve had my current number for 15 years so really don’t want to lose it, any help would be appreciated.

I figured the only thing I can do is wait until the 22nd and then request a new pac code?

@Jackiswaiting   Call customer services and explain to them your issue.   Your number will not be ported until you have the sim and if it’s over 30 days you’ll need a new pac code from o2.     Your contract with o2 will not cease on the minimum term date.

Get an EE PAYG SIM to hold your existing no. using your O2 PAC in the meantime. Then when you get your phone contract from EE ask EE to transfer your existing no. on PAYG to your new contract.

Or, as you say, keep requesting PACs from O2 until the EE phone is in. Unused PACs don't cancel contracts.
