Hi All.

My phone is saying I cannot use my number for imessages as I do not have a sim attached to that number???

Hello @pieface76 ,

Welcome to the community,

In settings, mobile service, does your number show there?

Also check that you have IMessage on in messages app.

HI.  It shows my number but the thing next to it is just going round and round and round

Have you tried signing out if your Apple ID, restart the phone, sign back in, then try ensuring iMessages are turned on.

Is your phone on the latest software? 

Can you try resetting the Network settings, you can do this by going to settings > general > reset iPhone > reset Network settings.

just done a reset and it's now saying it's sending me a code when I try logging back to to apple but I am not getting the text with the code, if I select get a phone call that doesn't come through either

Are you able to try a 2 way Sim swap @pieface76 , try your sim in another phone and another Sim in your phone to see where the problem lies. 

You can pop into your local EE store to do this if you don't have another phone or sim available.

I can try that tonight when I am home, hopefully my husbands sim will fit in my phone.
