Hello @cgs1951 ,

Welcome to the community,

You may have to do your own research, I have always been with EE since the days when they were Orange and have always been happy, no idea about 02, personally, just click on both EE and 02 and take a look at the tariffs and see what they offer, also remember how long the minimum plans are for each network, as EE have 24 month plans, when it comes to a plan with a phone, whereas some other networks may have longer plans.

If you are looking for sim only plan, EE do 12 months and 24 months, hope this is of some use to you.

One more thing, just like all of us, you will have to pass a credit check.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

With O2 you pay for device separate from the airtime with the device paid off at the end of term. EE has no such concept.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

It all depends what you're looking for in a tariff.

For me, I was briefly with Orange many years ago but left for a competitor and could never imagine moving.

For me, I always felt my previous network led the way when it came to roaming (they offered free roaming before anyone else) and the coverage was great.

So eventually moved to give EE a try as got an amazing deal, Expected to hate it. Ended up being surprised that I got 5G in my area and when I did travel abroad, found I was with a network that offered 5G roaming in all the places I went to (even though they don't seem to shout about it).

So I'm slowly migrating all my family across when contacts end. So I'd definitely recommend it.

But only you will know what's important to you and whether or not you're getting it elsewhere. I've never been an O2 customer so can't comment.

Myy partner recently switched from O2 to EE as EE were offering much better deals for what he was after aswell as he seemed to never get service most places with O2 but he can with EE. It is down to what you are personally looking for so you're best to have a look at both but for him EE has been better, I have too moved from 3 to EE just waiting on my new device arriving.
