Can anyone here help. I've had my Apple watch for months now and have never been able to make calls or send msgs from it without my phone being connected. It has a separate data plan to my phone and I was told when I purchased it that this would be possible. After endless calls to customer services I have finally given up expecting a call back. Has anyone else had this problem and did you find a solution. Thanks

No need to be sorry I'm sure you're not the manufacturer. At least I know not to buy a gimmick like this again and thankfully someone was willing to buy it so at least I recuperated enough for a Takeaway and pack of beers.

@angestew63 did you ever get a solution for this from EE?
Has anyone?
I’m inside my first 14 days so I can still reverse everything (phone and Watch) so I’m trying to find out if EE are able to set Apple Watch Ultra 2 devices up so the cellular works
I’ve had one person ask me for the EID and then tell me they’d sorted everything and it would work in 4hrs.
And it didn’t (to be clear, I define not working as unable to make or receive a call to the Watch Ultra 2 while the phone is in flight mode. Watch says ‘ call failed ‘ and incoming calls go to voicemail.
So I called again last night and another lengthy call … same again … wait 4 hours. It’ll be fine they say in 4 hours. (now this person I was talking to wasn't familiar with how the Watch app works unfortunately, which didn’t fill me with confidence. But that’s ok if the troubleshooting script is good enough, so this took a long time to do but they convincingly told me it would all be good after 4hrs)
And here I am this morning. No change.
Attached is what my watch status looks like. Still a white cellular symbol. But ‘call failed’ when initiating a call. And for what it’s worth if I tap on the cellular symbol it actually shows Mobike Service with a green symbol, mobile data green, plan EE with a green tick and underneath it says connected. But still can’t make a call or receive one.
For avoidance of doubt calls work fine via iPhone

I have this exact same problem, did you ever get yours sorted?
Looks like the symbol is white when it's near my iPhone, so disconnected bluetooth, wifi, put the phone back into flight mode and then the cellular symbol turned green and could make/receive calls.
All good, long time since owning an apple watch so forgot about this behaviour.
