How do I unlink my iTunes account when leaving EE?

Is it your iTunes account you're looking to unlink, or Apple Music?

I’m swapping provider from yourselves to BT. It is a family sharing option of just sim only. I have given EE my PUK code and had an email for my final bill.

I have a £9.99 subscription as part of my contract for ITunes. I don’t want to lose my songs stored on my phone.

When I spoke with Apple they advised to speak to EE about unlinking my iTunes account.

I thought iTunes and Apple Music were the same, hence my confusion!

So I suppose in answer to your question it’s iTunes, but I wanted to clarify.

Any music that you have downloaded or playlists that you've made on Apple Music is linked to your Apple ID, @Ronnif.

Any music that you have bought from Apple through iTunes is also linked to your Apple ID.

It will also automatically end when your contract ends (when your number ports to BT). If you want to cancel it sooner, you can cancel it by texting STOP MUSIC to 150.

Once it's ended, you'll be able to take an Apple Music plan directly with Apple.
