I just want a new phone without a sim plan

I believe there are a limited selection of handsets that you can do on an Add to Plan arrangement/EE Finance

All depends on credit checks etc, but if you go into the EE App or the website there is an option for SIM Free phones and you can spread the cost on some of these. Worth taking a look.

I already have a SIM contract but was looking to see if I could upgrade my phone device how would I go about that without paying for another SIM contract

You just need to upgrade your SIM Only to a Phone & Plan.
