I have set up new iPhone 16but my phone number will not transfer

I have set up my new iPhone 16 & everything has transferred over from my iphone8 except my phone number

@Tommo16  have you put your SIM card in the new device?   

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
