Decided to upgrade my Apple Watch, as I upgraded my phone a few months ago to an iPhone15, I went for Apple Watch series 20

Firstly I had no confirmation of the order and no delivery details. secondly the DPD van called at my house but as I had no delivery details, I was at work, so rescheduled it to the following day and had to rearrange my work. The DPD man arrives and asks me for a PIN. I hadn’t received any PIN?

I finally got a PIN after several phone calls to EE and my watch was delivered.

Turn it on and try to pair it with my phone and it says “not compatible ” as the IOS has to be 18, my phone is on IOS17.7

I couldn’t believe it, so had numerous conversations with EE agents, but unfortunately got nowhere so returned the watch.

They received the Watch. My bill for November is still showing the Watch and I won’t get my refund until December.

Absolutely disgusting EE, shame on you.

Oh and finally, one of the many agents I spoke to asked why I was returning the device, I told him and he said if I go into setting and scroll down to something, click on something etc etc, it will give me an “option” to update to IOS18……….well thank you EE, but a bit late!

iPhone Settings/General/Software Update/Automatic Updates/turn on, then you wont have these problems.

We run venerable iPhone 13s and are on 18.1

@LindaT60    Why are you trying to blame EE for this ?   Any updates for your device are down to you to install and have nothing to do with EE as these are Apple updates.

The newest watches on watch OS 11 will only work on the newest firmware for the phone.    That’s always been the case.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

My thoughts too. And I’m no EE fanboy. I keep my phone up to date, and track/divert via the appropriate courier app.

Just makes each step along life’s rocky road a bit easier 🤷🏼
