Since late last year I’m unable to easily connect to data services on my iPhone when away from WiFi.
What happens throughout my day is - I’m out and want to quickly google something/find something on google maps/find a journey on Citymapper and I have (almost) full 5G bars, and my phone simply cannot connect.
The only thing that fixes this is to go into airplane mode and then come out of it.
anyone got any idea?
here’s what I have already tried:
Neither Apple nor EE support have anything further to add, so I’m now possibly forced to change my mobile provider, which I’d rather not.

Do you know any Android users, and are they similarly affected?

@Sebrichter Have you tried a factory reset without restoring from that back up ? It’s not the sim it’s not the device by reading what you’ve put its also not specifically one location. So what remains is what you’ve installed on the device and that could be reintroduced everything you restore from a backup.

I tried to avoid this. I know this is unrelated, but I have lost a friend last year and I’m trying to avoid losing my WhatsApp conversations with him. 😔
I know you’re right, this is probably the last thing I can try.

Backup your WhatsApp conversations when on WiFi.
