What brings me here today is i am how can i find out what month i can have a free early upgrade on my device contract as when i had this one i have now i was able to upgrade around 2-3 months early without having to pay for the rest of the contract.  Or when can i take a contract out overall?

It is usually from 30 days before the end of your contract if you are moving to another device contract, however offers may crop up from time to time to allow you to upgrade earlier if you move to a certain type of plan so it is worth calling EE to find out.

If an offer is available EE will normally let you know via marketing but if your preferences are set to not allow this they will be unable to send any info on it without you getting in touch to find out.

If you are looking to move to SIM Only, this order can be placed in the last 30 days of the agreement and will then take effect on the date your device contract ends.

In your EE App:

Manage > Mobile & SIMs and it should show your contract dates as well as your Upgrade button.

Or text UP to 150, however if you're on All Rounder or Full Works plan this will tell you you're able to upgrade but will not mention that it involves trading in the existing device.
